Our own Alan Davis is performing in the Tuba section of the Advocate Brass Band in the 2009 Great Amercial Brass Band Festival in Danville, KY. (Saturday, June 13th at 6:00 p.m.). Check it out here!

IWS Trumpeter Mark Koehl has finished basic training and is now in the U.S. Armed Forces School of Music. Congratulations to Mark!! A high honor Indeed.

The Indiana Wind Symphony, founded in 1997, has as its mission the presentation of artistic performances of significant music for band and wind ensemble to the Central Indiana community. The ensemble is made up of over sixty members, and includes professional musicians, music educators, and serious avocational musicians. The group has presented American premieres of several important works, including Save the Sea Symphony, Concerto for Four Saxophones and Band, and Concerto for Symphonic Band of Hungarian composer Frigyes Hidas, Werner Bruggemann’s piano concerto Rike, Hardy Mertens' Symphonic Variations, and Nocturne by Thomas Doss.  Click here to learn more.
