JESSAMYN ANDERSON, soprano

After an unexpectedly brief stint in New York City, Indiana native Jessamyn Anderson now resides in Nashville, TN. She is currently working on her debut album featuring music from the Great American Songbook.

Over the last year, her work with Love Good, a media company founded on the transcendentals of beauty, truth, and goodness, has taken her to more than 10 cities as a musician and speaker. On top of her travels, she has found an amazing community of artists to collaborate with and has learned a thing or two about the perfect Instagram feed and snappy marketing emails as the Love Good communications director.
Jessamyn found the perfect balance between musical theatre and classical music when she spent two summers with the Ohio Light Opera Company. While there, she played lead roles in The Little Dutch Girl, Can-Can, Oh, Kay!, and The Dancing Years in addition to performing in the ensemble for eight shows, her favorites being Brigadoon, Annie Get Your Gun, and Kiss Me, Kate. Her love of operetta remained with her in New York City, where she worked alongside several OLO colleagues with the Victor Herbert Renaissance Project.

She graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she played Nellie Forbush in South Pacific, had featured roles in H.M.S. Pinafore and The Merry Widow, and sang in choruses for Falstaff and The Last Savage. Also at IU, Jessamyn played the title role in the University Gilbert & Sullivan Society’s inaugural production, Iolanthe, and premiered the role of Mooch in Mooch the Magnificent with Re-Imagining Opera for Kids.

Jessamyn is a Carmel High School alum and is thrilled to be back in her hometown performing in her eighth season with the Indiana Wind Symphony. Offstage, you can find Jessamyn at Jazzercise, working her side hustle as a Premier Designs jeweler, or eating copious amounts of Parmesan cheese.
