Chamber Concert

  • St. Mark's United Methodist Church 4780 126th St. Carmel (map)

Spend your Sunday afternoon surrounded by beautiful live music.

The Indiana Wind Symphony Chamber Players present a chamber concert on Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m., a repeat performance of “Chanson Française.”

This elegant program centers on Charles Gounod’s "Petite Symphonie" (1885), a charming four-movement work inspired by the grace and clarity of Mozart’s wind serenades. Commissioned by famed flutist Paul Taffanel, the piece features a lyrical slow introduction, a graceful Allegretto, a movement highlighting solo flute, a lively hunting-inspired scherzo, and a spirited finale. We will also perform "Bagatelle No. 1" and "Bagatelle No. 5" by Dvorak, and pieces by Burrill Phillips, August Klughardt, and Alec Wilder.

Admission is free, and no tickets are required.
